Climate Journal Club (CJC) edizione 2022!
Il Climate Journal Club è un appuntamento ricorrente aperto a tutta la comunità del DISAT. Ad ogni incontro, un candidato presenta un lavoro suo o di letteratura o un seminario inerente a tematiche sul clima, al quale segue una discussione tra tutti i partecipanti.
L’invito è, quindi, per tutti i professori, ricercatori, assegnisti, dottorandi e laureandi che lavorano nell’ampio tema del Clima a presentare la loro ricerca in questa occasione di incontro per sollecitare proficue discussioni, collaborazioni e nuove idee! Vogliamo ricordare ai dottorandi che la partecipazione attiva in ruolo di presentatori verrà riconosciuta con l’assegnazione di 2CFU.
Gli incontri saranno in presenza, ogni due settimane, al lunedì dalle 11:30 alle 13:00 a partire da lunedì 10 Gennaio 2022. Ci sarà anche la possibilità di connettersi da remoto.

Mountain environments are of a great importance in our lives, as they cover about 25% of the Earth’s surface, and the whole global population depends on them directly or indirectly. Mountain ecosystems are particularly sensitive to the impacts of climate change and are being affected at a faster rate than other environments. Climate change is directly affecting mountain settings, but also all those who depend on them. To shed further light on this important field, my research project deals with the study of the altitudinal dependence of meteo-climatic conditions in the past and in the future, with a focus on the Great Alpine Region (GAR), the highest and most extensive mountain range system in Europe, that is impacted by global and local anthropic activities.
Everyone is invited to read the paper by Napoli et al. (2019), provided in the e-learning page, that will be the basis for the discussion. Few pages from the latest IPCC report on the climate change in mountainous environments are also provided in the same e-learning page, available here: https://elearning.unimib.it/
