The study of environmental topics and the resolution of related problems increasingly require an interdisciplinary and global approach with an international view that includes experiences beyond national limits.

Therefore, the DISAT promotes relations in the field of research and training towards foreign realities.

Through financial support, mainly with Erasmus and Exchange Extra-EU instruments, the Department offers its bachelor, master and PhD students the opportunity to spend periods of study, internships and research activities in European and non-European universities / companies / research institutions.

Analogously, it offers teaching staff the opportunity to carry out research or teach abroad.

It also encourages the presence of foreign teachers and students at its Degree Courses (one of which is international) and at its research facilities.
