Departmental Quality Assurance System
Quality Assurance (QA) is the process through which universities achieve improvement goals through the continuous monitoring and self-assessment of their Educational Offer, Research, and Third Mission/Social Impact.
Based on different functions and competencies, the University has implemented a Quality Assurance System (SAQ) covering Teaching, Research, and Third Mission/Social Impact. This system aims to promote the long-term observation of results, identify critical issues, and implement corrective measures based on the tools provided by the AVA system (Self-assessment, Accreditation, and Evaluation of the Italian University System).
The operation of the University SAQ is described in detail in the dedicated section of the University portal, particularly in the document "The Quality Assurance System of the University of Milano-Bicocca."
In order to establish a structure consistent with the University's framework, the Department Board appoints a Quality Assurance Manager (Assicuratore di Qualità) for each of the following areas:
-
Teaching: Prof. Ugo Cosentino
-
Research: Prof. Roberto Colombo
-
Third Mission: Prof. Emilio Padoa Schioppa
-
PhD in Chemical, Geological and Environmental Sciences: Prof.ssa Chiara Urani
-
PhD in Marine Sciences: Technologies and Management: Dr. Luca Fallati
The Quality Assurance Managers for Teaching, Research, and Third Mission/Social Impact are assisted by their respective departmental groups and report to the Department Board, ensuring the flow of communication regarding the QA process.
