The scientific production of the Department enjoys a solid reputation within the national and international scientific community. In the context of the last two Research Quality Evaluation exercises (VQR 2011-2014 and VQR 2015-2019) conducted by the National Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research System (ANVUR), DISAT was attributed the maximum value of the standardized departmental performance indicator (ISPD=100/100). Furthermore, concerning Area 04 - Geology, the Department ranked first nationally in the dimensional quartile of membership, regarding the quality profile of permanent staff.
