Quality Assurance of Ph.D. Courses
The operation of the University's Quality Assurance (QA) system regarding PhD programs is described in detail in the specific Quality Assurance section of the University portal.
In line with the actions proposed by the University Doctoral School, the monitoring and quality control of PhD programs are entrusted to their respective Quality Control Committees.
The Quality Control Committee (or Quality Management Group) for each PhD program is responsible for:
-
Drafting the planning and organizational document for training and research activities;
-
Preparing the Annual Report;
-
Monitoring the progress of doctoral students, their feedback on training and research activities, their satisfaction at the end of the program, and their employment status in the following years;
-
Verifying the alignment between the offered training activities and labor market demands through periodic meetings with stakeholders. In this regard, the group is expected to interact collaboratively with the PhD’s Social Partners Committee;
-
Contributing to the preparation of the Three-year Review.
Following the activities described above, the Quality Control Committee is responsible for defining any corrective actions or improvement measures and proposing them to the PhD Academic Board (Collegio di Dottorato) and the Department for approval and implementation.
