Workshop for scientists (Photo Credit: POW-Italy)
As scientists we are often invited to communicate scientific and ethical concepts about climate change to a wide audience. Why should we do it? What are the cognitive reactions of the public to worrying updates about the climatic conditions? Why is the language that we use and the relation with the audience so important? There is no ready-made tutorial for communicating climate change. However, we think it's important to stop and think about why and how to do it, while taking into account who we are talking to.
