Sciences and Technologies for Environment and Landscape

Master’s Degree Programme

The Programme offers multidisciplinary training that provides the knowledge needed to tackle today’s complex environmental challenges and drive tomorrow’s change.

We offer our students two curricula:

  • Environmental Quality and Management: focused on monitoring and analyzing biotic and abiotic environmental components, assessing environmental quality, and managing land and resources;
  • Environmental Sustainability: aimed at measuring and preventing anthropogenic impacts on the environment and designing sustainable processes and products.

The programme includes: six mandatory courses, elective courses from a wide range of options, with field and laboratory activities; experimental thesis projects carried out internally or externally, in Italy or abroad.

Skills Acquired

We ensure you receive advanced-level training preparing you for highly qualified and specialized professional roles in the environmental field.

The acquired skills include:

  • mastery of the scientific method
  • knowledge of land investigation techniques and data analysis
  • ability to analyze the environment in its biotic and abiotic components
  • knowledge of prevention, decontamination, and remediation methodologies
  • ability to carry out environmental monitoring, control and management activities and to perform resource and impact assessments
  • ability to integrate environmental data and information, including legal and economic aspects
  • a transversal vision of environmental sustainability from ecological, biological, chemical, and geological perspectives
  • knowledge of procedures to verify environmental sustainability of human activities through data processing and protocol application
  • ability to propose eco-innovations in process or product.
